Welcome to my website!. I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings. I have been painting for several years. The more I paint, the more I enjoy it! Painting is such a wonderful change and escape from the little stresses that we all have.
When you like to paint, you look at everything around you in a different way. You notice the way clouds form, the colors in trees, grasses, and flowers, and the reflections on water that you might have ignored before, seem to jump out at you. I am always looking for my next place or thing to paint. I paint a lot of different types of things. It just depends on my mood, I guess.
. I grew up on a farm near Ottawa, Kansas. I spent a lot of my childhood exploring and playing in, and around, the creeks with my brother. I have always had an appreciation for the outdoors and nature.
My mom, Jo Flager, is an artist, so after my children were grown, I decided to see what I could learn from her. We enjoy painting together in plein air, or in her studio, if the weather doesn't permit us to be outside.
I have taken workshops from several well known artists. I am a member of the Olathe Visual Artists.
